HIGH LORD ZEN

Once again I sit before my computer and no one sent me any interesting notes or letters for me to work off. I know they’re all in Monday’s unks. A likely story. If I don’t get some responses, I just might have to stop this. While this would make some people very happy, there are at least a couple of people who enjoy my little tirades.

Latest complaint: The inclusion of Zen and my work makes the Hughes News too dark for some people’s fragile eyes. It also being one of two regular features gives the whole rag a dark tint. Well, there are two responses to this. First, don’t read it (it’s well labeled so not to cause too much stress). Second, write your own bright and cheery articles (you can add flowers and smiley faces if you want). I expect bonus points from the editor for the second suggestion.

Anyway, onto sexist practices of the ancient Aztecs during human sacrifices. First off, they only sacrifice women, and then only virgins (I’ll refrain from some sort of derogatory comment about the state of today’s society), and only the best looking of these. The priests who actually did the killing were generally men. Seems pretty sexist, but that’s the way things went in the ancient Aztec civilization. Oh, the joy.
