Work
It occurs to me that I’ve been working at my new job for just about a week now and haven’t mentioned it. My mother had my sister call ask how it was going. I left messages with brief answers.
It seems like a good place, it’ll take me a while to get my bearings, but it seems very solid. I’m working longer than I was at the Fool, but I haven’t been bored. But I think I could use a more comfy chair.
Getting up to speed on linux and so far I’m pretty happy. Running it as my desktop and gotten most of the stuff I need. Of course no one is sending me word docs or excel spreadsheets. Need to get the palm synching, and figure out the right mail client. Using mozilla for now, but I think there is probably something better.
Time to go drink beer.
Note to self: set up a cron job to email Todd an Excel doc once a day.
