1999

 The Egyptian government allows the excavation of the chamber hidden between the paws of the Sphinx. The Chamber is empty except for several sealed containers. The containers are not marked in a manner consistent with any known culture that has inhabited the area. Later analysis of the containers indicated that contained several complex alloys that could not be produced at any time before the 20th century.

These containers were shipped to Cairo University for analysis, but never arrived. The convoy that was shipping them disappeared without a trace. In the next six months three of the containers were recovered. All three were results of other crimes. Two were part of smuggling cargos, the third was found at the scene of a double murder. One was sent to Cairo, one to the Smithsonian, one to Oxford.

2000

 The Cairo container was the first one cracked, a viscous slime seemed to attack Professor Osod Nazier, the lead researcher. He was rendered unconscious and fell into a coma for over a week. during this time he was moved to a bio containment unit. When Nazier awoke from his coma he ripped through the bio containment tent and jumped from a 15th story window and hasn’t been seen since.

After Nazier fell unconscious the Smithsonian container was moved to Ft. Detrick, while the Oxford container was sent to CDC in Atlanta.

Y2K riots in Los Angeles and New York. National Guard had to be called in to restore order. Fifty-two people died and thousands were injured.

2001-2005

 Over the next several years many discoveries were made concerning the containers. It was a simple matter to spawn off identical children of the biomass. The biomass within the containers was actually a symbiote. It greatly increased the physical and mental facilities of the person implanted with the symbiote. The symbiotes also took great efforts to protect the host. It was quickly shown to be able to create armor around the host, as well forming melee weapons out of it’s own viscous mass. Practitioners quickly learned how to create energy weapons as well.

Several UFO and strange phenomena groups merged and formed the Children of the Ancient Astronaut declaring the canisters prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that the ancient astronaut theory is true.

2003

 Isaac Harrison is the first Incarnate born out of a bonding process.

2004

 Gore failed to do anything substantial and is replaced by Dan Quale.

2005

 Marcus Kelly becomes first post bond incarnate and attempts to march into the white house

2006

 In 2006 a terrorist group assaulted the CDC and stole the Oxford Alpha. The fire fight blew open the CDC storage banks. And some of the most virulent diseases in history began seeping through the cracks. Within hours it became clear what had happened, but by then it was too late. The Andromeda Contingency was inacted. Atlanta was destroyed by nuclear holocaust, with the CDC as ground zero.

While the diseases were destroyed by the nuclear attack the 2nd generation symbiotes survived they were reduced to a fine mist and many people who were exposed to radioactive dust were also bonded by a very hurt symbiote, due to the damage done to the symbiotes this didn’t make itself clear for almost ten years.

The terrorists were identified as members of the Red Jihad, which despite it’s name is mostly a mercenary unit who works for the highest bidder. After the Atlanta incident they were wiped out but it remains a mystery who they were working for, and the Oxford Alpha was never recovered.

2007

 First terrorist attack by Symbs. A terrorist bonded to a Symbiote assassinated president Quale during a campaign appearance. He slew the entire Secret Service contingent and managed to get away. He didn’t make it out of the city however. Vice President George Bush Jr. takes office.

Special Forces Symb Command (SFSCOM) formed by the DOD

2008

 Beta Symbiotes were made for sale on the black market. Many terrorist organizations were buying in quantity. Terrorist attacks continued. Congress quickly passed the Symb control act of 2008. An organization known as Al-Fasar are the primary suppliers of black market symbiotes and the quantity supplier of black market betas.

Rumors began of a joint CIA, NSA task force made up of symb hosts. To this date this organization, if it exists, has never been acknowledged by government authorities.

FBI Symb crimes division formed and takes primary responsibility for policing the growing population of symbs.

Symb Research and Training Lab (SRTLAB) formed under the auspices of DARPA

Isaac Harrison takes over a small town on St. Croix. takes over the town with three or four dozen mercenaries who quickly take a majority of the the town hostage. Harrison demands that the island be ceeded by the united states to himself to form his own sovereign nation. SFSCOMs first major action backed by a contingent of Marines was to retake the island. Isaac managed to escape.

Americans for Justice Foundation formed by a variety of right wing political machines.

George Bush Jr. elected as president.

2009

 The Federal prison authorities new branch Division of Special Prisons brought online the first of the new prisons designed to contain symbs.

This was also the year when it was learned how to extract a symbiote from a dead host.

Symb Civil Liberty Advocates formed. It was based off the organization of ACLU.

Iraq deploys several Symb enhanced companies and uses them to move in to Kuwait and the second Gulf war begins.

2010

 The Osod Nazier Society formed by a group of the earliest symbs and the research scientists who first worked on the project.

The Giovanni family came into possession of several betas. They set up their own production facilities and began supplying their own enforcers. Over the next several years other crime families also began production. A delta symb became a right of passage among the street gangs of most large inner cities.

Unconfirmed rumors of Asian birthing camps begin to filter through the Internet. Apparently several beta bonded women are kept perpetually pregnant, the beta symbiote is then extracted (fatally) from the beta bonded child and bonded to a loyal soldier.

2011

 First shots are fired in the NY Syndicate Turf War. A symb in the employ of the Giovanni crime family walked into a small Italian restaurant and killed everyone, including Don Marconi. The war has continued to the present day with more destructive attacks with each passing day.

Church of the Joining joined by a coalition of multi-denominational priests and monks who came to see the glory that the symb represents in the order of God. Tantamount to releasing Angels and Demons onto the Earth to do Gods will.

Second Gulf War ends. While the military is defeated and Saddam Hussein is killed in the fighting, terrorist and guerrilla warfare have preventing the area from returning to a peaceful state. The “duly elected” new government are not acknowledge by a large percentage of the people. The Iraq symb soldiers make the holding of Iraq to this problematic.

2012

 As the symbiotes continue to be used more and more reality warping abilities are documented.

U.S. Col. Amir Balaad, 80 soldiers and couple of planeloads full of equipment defect to Syria in response to the Iraqi puppet government. This force is the primary group of people that would become the mercenary force known as Black Book.

Arcadia Foundation founded. Arcadia Foundation is funded by Osod Nazier Society and DOD grants to seek further evidence and artifacts of the same era as the symbiotes/Sphinx chamber.

Middle East Defense Alliance (MEDA) formed between Iran, Syria, and Jordan. The deposed government of Iraq also join the Alliance. Libya and Sudan pledge support to the Alliance.

Bush with a low approval rating having to do with the Middle East scenario is sent packing. Xavier Bacera is elected in his place.

2013

 Church of the Joining gains major press when the Pope excommunicates all practitioners and declares the faith heretical.

U.S. economy goes through a major but temporary dip as several co-ordinated terrorist attacks threaten the Fed, Mint, Stock Exchange, etc. Hundreds were wounded but the contingency plans and defenses held. It is largely believed that the attack was funded and co-ordinated by MEDA, but no convincing evidence was ever brought forward.

2014

 Knights of the Symb split off from the remains of the Atlanta Chapter of the Knights of Columbus. Soon they are joined by casts offs from many other fraternal orders and lodges who were similarly cast off or left in protest.

A series of symb lynchings through out the south catch national attention. A group calling itself the ‘Army of the Pure Human’ appears to be responsible. They are loosely organized and no central leader was ever found.

2015

 The first sign of the Atlanta Problem began to show itself. Thousands of people who were exposed to the Atlanta fall out began showing signs of being hosts.

Twelve people found dead in Texas. The attack was clearly committed by a powerful symb. A note nailed to the door indicated that the ‘Symb Liberation Army’ found these people guilty of being part of the Army of the Pure Human and sentenced accordingly. An investigation confirmed the allegations.

The Symb Health Service formed and takes responsibility for caring for symbs. They’re charter demands that the mentally stability of all symbs be assessed annually. The SHS provides both medical and social services to symbs. Only months after they first come on line SHS’ Washington Headquarters in bombed. Eighteen people die, hundreds are injured. An anti-symb terrorist group called ‘In Adams Name’ take credit.

Symbs Anonymous formed to help the Atlanta survivors and ex-gang members deal with what they have become. SA has been called divisive by some who feel the organization starts with the assumption that being bonded is evil, but can be controlled.
