Also: Hi-no-haya-yagi-wo, Hino-kaga-biko, Hino-kaga-tsuchi, Kagu-tsuchi, Hinokagutsuchi or Kagutsuchi
Japanese: カグツチ (With that many alternate meanings I’m going to assume there should be more laternate Japanese spellings, but this is all I could find.)
Translated: Fire-Producer, Fire-Shining-Prince, Fire-Shining-Elder (It may be more proper to render the previous two names as: Fire-Burning-Prince and Fire-Burning-Elder respectively.)

Ho-masubi was a fire kami in Japanese/Shinto mythology, the son of Izanami and Izanagi. Being a fire kami however his birth killed his mother which eventually led the cycle of birth/death the binds all living things. Izanami didn’t die immediately. First she became sick first.

In her sickness Kana-yama-bime and Kana-yama-biko (metal mountain prince and princess) were born from her vomit, Hani-yasu-bime and Hani-yasu-biko (clay viscid prince and princess) were born from her feces, Mitsuhanome (female water kami) and Waku-musu-bi (Luxuriant-food-princess) were born from her urine.

Izanagi was distraught with the loss of his wife/sister. He exclaimed the unfairness of having lost her over a single child. He walked around his dead wife crying and his tears gave birth to the kami Naki-saha-me (Crying-Weeping-Female-Deity).

Izanagi buried his wife on Mount Hiba at the boundary of the land of Idzumo and the land of Hahaki.

Izanagi drew his sword and slew Ho-masubi and cut him into eight pieces. The blood splatters that flew off the tip of the sword and hit the rocks became: Iha-saku (Rock-Splitter), Ne-saki (Root-Splitter) and the Iha-tsutsu-no-wo (Rock-Possessing-Male-Deity). The blood that splattered the rocks from the upper part of the sword became: Mika-haya-bi (Awfully-Swift-Deity), Hi-haya-bi (Fire-Swift-Deity), Take-mika-dzu-chi-no-wo (Brave-Awful-Possessing-Male-Deity, Brave-Snapping-Deity or Luxuriant-Snapping-Deity). The blood that ran down the hilt became: Kuar-okami (dark something) and Kura-mitsuha (dark something else). These are all deities born of the august sword.

Ho-maxubi’s various body parts each bore their own kami; Out of his head was born Ma-saka-yama-tsu-mi (Possessor-of-th-True-Pass-Mountains), from his chest came Odo-yama-tsu-mi (Possessor-of-Descent-Mountains), from his belly came Oku-yama-tsumi (Possessor-of-th-Innermost-Mountains), from his genitals came Kura-yama-tsu-mi (Possessor-of-the-Dark-Mountains), from his left hand came Shigi-yama-tsu-mi (Possessor-of-the-Densely-Wooded-Mountains), from his right hand came Ha-yama-tsu-mi (Possessor-of-the-Outlying-Mountains), from his left foot came Hayama-tsu-mi (Possessor-of-the-Moorland-Mountains) and from his right foot came To-yama-tsumi (Possessor-of-the-Outer-Mountains).
