Mirth, fertility, and dance kami. She is the kami who was largely responsible for luring Amaterasu out of her cave. The dance she performed for Amaterasu is supposed to represent the planting of the seeds and waiting for the sun to come out after winter. She was apparently a companion of Ninigi. She is also known as Ama-no-uzume.
